Bonne Fête nationale du Québec

24 06 2011

Today is Quebec’s national holiday, la Fête nationale. French-speakers outside of Quebec still call the holiday by its old name, St-Jean Baptiste. In 2010, Claude Gravelle, the NDP member for Sudbury, sponsored a private member’s bill to make the day a national holiday.  A goodish history of the holiday is available here.

Je souhaite bonne Fête nationale à toutes et tous.
